New Year Resolution?
Mmm, I'm happen to stuck quite a while at 1 blog longer than I thought and read several page from his [I think this have been wrote by a 'he' person :P] briliant-funny-worth-reading posting [not yet read the entire whole blog] but somehow quite frustrated because his posting suddenly stop around October 07. It's been ermm... > 2 years of silent?... and I dunno why... :-s. This is the link... http://www.theloseweightdiet.com/blog/ and who ever you are, please come back and post your posting back... it's been a while :(
Ok, the reason I would like to share something from his thought here is the thought that he brought up during last New Year 2007. Let's use it to this very new 2010 ok. As everybody know, every single dieter out there [including me ahehehe], who want to lose weight, gained weight or what ever plan you have to do with ur body; will always make every New Year [or to be exact on January every new year] to renew your 'azam' or so called 'resolution' >:). It's like a boasting energy during a new year; everybody like to have fresh start, everybody want to have a fresh start... that's why it's been called 'new year resolution'.
The problem is, this new year resolution will end up pretty fast; maybe the 1st week of January or maybe 2nd weeks [if you strong enuff] or maybe until the end of January [if you double strong enuff]. Then somehow the new year resolution seems so far away to achieve from the goal and eventualy it will faded away because there are so many obstacles and obstacles and excuses and excuses [and believe me, the reason you will list due to cannot make your new resolution done is all valid, so nobody will blame you ahehehe including your self >:)]. Then in consious you will be renew back your resolution on January 2011 :P.
So what's the point I'm writing this? I wanna give you some simple advice. The same advice as the posting give me idea to write today :D. The advice is: don't renew you resolution please! Don't lie to your self with every single list that you will listed again and again, over and over again, every year ahead just because you can't achieve it this year or during last year, or the last year before that... or the last year before that... :(. The fact is you don't need to wait every new year to start losing your weight [or what ever you want to achieve] because there will be a total failure if you can't achieve that and you will be set another new resolution the next new year ahead, and if this 2010 resolution didn't workout, you will make another resolution on January 2011, and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that too... +_+
Let's sort out some interesting excuses >:). I believe we have all this in our little sick mind :P. I need to lose weight but I just need to wait until the very 1st day of new coming year. I want to have that so-call new year feeling to start the new me :-s. Wait! Today is 28th December 2009. I have 3 more days left to treat my self before go over beyond my dream: losing weight. Wait! I need the calendar to show me 1st January 2010 then I will start or restart or renew or whatever it is to lose weight again. Seriously you will definately 'lose' before it's even start.
Take example of today! Today is Sunday rite? Waitttt! Everything should start on Monday. Sunday is my holiday. Today is my last day to treat my self. I need to make full of this last Sunday to indulge my self so I will start fresh tomorrow morning. I means, why bother to wait? Why bother to set a new resolution if you are not ready yet? This goes for exercise too :P. I will do my exercise, but not now; later. I will have my workout but I will start next week. I am to buzy 24/7. You dunno how my shift-worked-schedule looks like. I don't have 5 minutes. Now, do you get the message?
So why bother making a new resolution if I can't make 1? Is this means I don't have to make 1? Or I shouldn't make a list? At all? Nope! Don't get me wrong! The list will not make you doing it if YOU DON'T WANT TO. So what should I do first? Simple! Just ask you self is this you really wanna do? Is yes, there will be no time to set when your mind is ready to start. There will be no 1st January or this very new year to start all over again. You just need to ask your self, if you are ready or not yet to losing your weight [or to achieve what ever you want to achieve]. Do it because I WANT IT TO not because it's a new year coming around so I'll need to make a new resolution, or renew my last year resolution or creating some list of resolution just to fancy my new year dream.
To make a list but not doing it is as simple as didn't make any at all. So make up your mind. Do it because you are ready and you want it! So the list will be more worth rather than it will be another dead list for you to renew next year :D.
I'm not gonna wish you a good luck right now. But I would like to wish you to have a happy mind right now so you can sort out 'something' in your head ahehehe :D. So, happy make-up-your-mind! >:)
