Air aper tuh? Air suam! Wahahahah :)).
Dinner kat mana? Makan aper? Mmm, sempena 5 tahun kojer di Agilent [dah 5 tahun keje? huhuhu... macam tak percaya hahahha], bos belanja dinner di E&O tadih. Giler banyak kali derang bangun dari meja +_+... termasuklah haku, weleh weleh...
Bos siap cakap lagik, abehlah you punya Herbalife... chaih! tapi oklah, aku makan tak der berapa kali laps macam derang... Aku dah sampai 3 rounds, dah flat +_+ wahahaha :)). By the time aku balik dari Maghrib, derang sempat habiskan 1 round meal without aku... fuh!!! hebat... hebat...
Moral: belajar makan sikit2, then rest, jangan penuhkan pinggan dengan 1 makanan yg kita suka. Banyak lagik makanan yg tak pernah makan [yer ker?]... try sikit2, yg mana suka, last sekali amiklah lebih akekekeke...
Aku suka apa? Kek derian... >:). Wahahaha!!! Bukan aku ajer, bos suka, Nam Weng pun suka, Tharmen jer tak suka [sebab Tharmen tak suka derian :p]. So malam nih kentut still bau derian akekeke...

Sabar Miza sabar... tggu N73 kuo dari spital dulu, kalo xsehat jugak, nampak gaya... selamat jalan romeo lah. Habit suka snap gambo, bila 1st time xleh snap [or snap tapi dengan camera yg kureng chantek pixelnyer] buat idop rasa kureng 'lemak manisnya' ahehehe...

Bon Jour! This has been a glorious day. Bob and I visited the Jardins Luxembourg on the advice of one of our blog readers and this was no disappointment. I need a new gardener! The day was glorious and the gardens were unbelievable. We sat on a bench in the midst of this beauty and soaked up what was around us from the sun to the flowers, the sculptures the water and the people.Next we made

Ah! Mon Dieu!My feet are killing me. Bob and I started the day with a visit to the Pompidou which is where Bob's favorite artists hang their work. The likes of Francis Bacon, Picasso, Chagall, Matisse, Henri Toulouse Lautrec, Giacometti and Modigliani, Kandinsky and more. Oh my goodness and that was all on one floor! That museum is not pretty from the outside but inside it is a wonderful
Bon Jour!Tosca here with a brief update of our day. Bob and I visited the Musee D'Orsay which is where you see more modern paintings. The highlights were the works of Vincent Van Gogh especially his self portrait, Edouard Manet and his city life scenes and the most beautiful in my opinion was the Little Ballerina done by Edgar Degas in bronze but with a satin ribbon in her hair, a tulle skirt

A quote from this video " sugar addiction is physiological and effects the same biochemical systems in your body as do drugs like morphine and heroin... that's why most people can't get off sugar."
I love carbs! I love my coffee with 1 teaspoon of sugar and will drink it over a couple of times within a day. So far I'm one week on and one week off of coffee. Currently trying to find a way to get rid of overeating carbs. Kelemahan saya adalah: bread, rice and coffee. Other carbs I just dont buy.... PERIOD. I don't buy cakes, ice cream, oreos, pizza's and chocolates because once I start eating them, I can't stop. Now I don't need them and it's out of my life for GOOD. But with these three things is like my last dugaan. So hard to stop. It's hard because my son eats rice and my husband likes white bread. Coffee pulak cannot has always been my favorite drink.
Take a look at this video for some more general knowledge on our favorite food... shugah!
I should try Glutamine lah... See if my sugar cravings will go away for sure or not. The last time I had it(a trainer gave it to hubby), we totally forgot about it and when I wanted to eat it back again(which kurakuradibawahcawankaca suggested me eating, it smelled like serbuk cuci kain already). Will buy it and share my experience if I remember insyaAllah!

Hello All.What a wonderful day in Paris. Bob and I slept 13 hours and took on this day with fervor. We began at the Tour Eiffel getting there using Le Metro. We two figured out how to get our NaviGo passes and put ourselves on the correct lines to arrive at the proper location. Of course the Eiffel Tower was mobbed even at the early hour but it was fantastic to see this awe inspiring
There's going to be only two more weeks till I stop weight training for Ramadhan. I'll still do some cardio just to keep my insanity. It drives me crazy thinking that I'm not doing a single exercise even for the month of Ramadhan. Tapi cardio's are gonna be during the night, after iftar and after my son goes to sleep. Tarawikh as usual will be done at home cause nobody can take care of my son.
Currently geram tgk my husband yg sudah HAWT. He buys small fitted clothes with a matching Nike cap to go with it. I totally love his Nike cap!!! Heads are turned when we go out together termasuk jugak lah pondan2. Muahahaha. Ini tidak boleh jadik! But I cannot wear sexy clothes lar if I get smaller. Nevermind lah, satisfy sendiri2 jak lah. I can see 2 ketul packs on his tummy. 4 more to go! Why do men lose weight more faster than women? :P
Okay enough of my hubby!
My cardio for this week will be plyo. My body can't accept running anymore. Each time I want to run, I feel like hitting myself to the wall kebosanan. I have a couple of vids for a good cardio inlcuding Tae Bo, Yoga X and JM's 30 Day Shred. Also the dreaded skipping rope :P.
The plyo effect lasted about 2 days. Awesome GILAK!!!
Mon 26/7 - Plyo, Chest, Biceps - Done
Fri 30/7 - Shoulders, Plyo - Done

Mon 26/7 - Plyo, Chest, Biceps - Done
- Did plyo for 28 mins today and had to stop because I was almost puking. If you see the TBL on the first episodes where they puke a lot, I was like that when doing plyo.
- No plyo today. Maybe tomorrow... :P I was afraid if I did plyo I couldn't do legs weight training today because plyo involves squating/jumping a LOT!
- On another note which doesn't involve my weight training, hubby left his gym shoes and handphone at home today. Only after 2 hours I saw his email to which I assume he used the gym's free pc and told me to pass his sneakers to his dad which came home to take gym stuffs and was going there too right after him. Wahahaha.... So today he's training with his Crocs. Wohohohahahaha.
- Eeek! Still cannot stand doing near to 30 minutes of plyo. Each time they do the continuous high jumps, I begin to feel like puking agaaain.
- I LOVE PLYO!!
- For now I think I can only do plyo selang sehari. Sakit kaki! So that means I'm gonna do plyo 3 times a week.
- I like squat jumps but man they STING your legs.
Fri 30/7 - Shoulders, Plyo - Done
- Did plyo for 23 minutes. Tidak cukup tidurrrrrrrrr made me less energetic :P
- Tomorrow and Sunday puasa ganti!
Okay, I thought yesterday was Sunday. hahahahha. I got ahead of myself with the SUMMER SLIMMIN' CHALLENGE check-in.
But that's fine. At least I did check in.
Today, I hit a milestone I've been so looking forward to. I've lost 40 pounds. Yay.
I weighed in at 258.6.
So, 40.4 pounds to be exact.
The extra protein is totally helping.
Today, hubby wanted a burrito, so we did a LIME takeout. I was afraid I'd do my bingey thing like I usually do with Italian or Mexican (my two major bingey fave cuisines). Nope. I ate a good amount of the lower carb South Beach beef burrito I ordered. But I didn't finish it. This is a RARE occurrence, having leftover burrito. Me loves burrito!!!
I left about 1/4th, which I wrapped for a leftover snack. I didn't finish the guacamole (I usually do) or the salsa (I usually do) and I didn't have a single tortilla chip. I had a few mouthfuls of refried beans, and have plenty for high fiber snacking.
Really happy I didn't go nuts.
Hoping my last two SS Challenge weigh-ins are satisfying ones.
This is a new week. Let's be very good to our bodies....

Bon Jour! Our first day in Paris was exciting and discombobulated too. We had arranged to meet Kelsey, my daughter who has been here studying for the last 3 weeks, at 3:00 pm at the L'Ouvre. Bob and I dutifully left the hotel at 2:30 thinking that would be plenty of time to get where we had to go. Oh but did we mention the Tour de France (www.tourdefrance.com) was finishing today and that the
Hello Hello from the City of Light!!Bob and I are here in Paris after having travelled all night. Luckily I passed out and slept for the entire trip, no easy task when your knees are up to your ears and your upper body is ramrod straight. But I managed much to Bob's dismay as he did not sleep a wink. I was so out of it I didn't realize we were landing. I quickly jumped up to pee and of course
Salam,
Breakfast: 2 pcs karipap sardine + 1 plate kuew teow goreng
Morning treat: Rojak buah: sengkuang + nenas
Lunch: Nasik + pajeri nenas + ikan goreng
Afternoon treat: 1/2 protein bar [lupa nama, nanti aku snap plastic dier]
Dinner:Not yet decide... Nasik + pajeri nenas + daging kambing
Rojak buah pedas wahahahah :)), tak pasal2 letak gula semata2 sebab aku tak tahan pedas, memalukan kaum kerabat betol keh keh keh... Protein bar sedap nyum nyum, 1 serving = 1 bar = 220 cal tak salah aku... nnt lah aku check balik. Tapi tadih xabeh makan pun, dia rasa padat giler, 1/2 lagik abehkan nanti2...
BTW, nih gambo protein bar nyer.

Dinner plan macam2 bagai, burger baru McD lah, Hot & Roll lah, Kenny Rogers lah, last2 drive sampai Tanjung makan nasik ganja wahahah :)). lagipun aku ader tapau pajeri nenas, so just teman Eni makan, + aku tambah 1 daging kambing [amboihhhh] tak pernah aku order daging kambing kat sinik. Nih kira 1st time arrr.
Sebab dah ader pajeri nenas dengan nasik, so tak kan nak order ayam plak, besar giler ayam, meleret la nak abehkan. Tuh yg pikir2 last2 amik daging tuh. Kecik sikit size, tuh pun soh Eni amik pajeri sebab banyak giler tapau pajeri. Aku ingat Eni tak suka pajeri, last2 dok picit2 plastic bag cari pajeri, nasib baik ader lagik yg last.
Pajeri cam biasa, aku sorang jer dekat 2 ker 3 slice. Eni amik 2. Gambo dah try snap, tapi gulap gulita giler :-s. Memandangkan gerai nasik ganja betol2 di bawah lampu jalan, kebarangkalian gambo nak snap adalah kureng sebab kureng penataan cahaya yg baek.
...so no picture for today menu, jangan maraa aarrr... :P

Whew. Adding extra protein mini-meals worked. the 4 pounds I had regained during the "Carb-Wild Week of Family Festivities and Pizza Pig-Out" are bye-bye:
259.6
I wasted SS Challenge time when I lost my way, but I find my appetite is calmer adding those protein snacks (the pudding shake, oatmeal especially, since they're easy to make and eat, so no hassle for me).
I have not been eating at lower calorie levels I'd wanted. I'm eating at about 2000 calories average. My goal this week is to keep it under 1900 and to keep up the nutrition tracking and water (which I had totally slacked off on).
So, this has been the challenge progress (and backsliding):
Starting Weight: 267.6
End of week 1= 265.6
End of week 2= 263.2
End of week 3=264.8
End of week 4= 262.6
End of week 5: 259.6
End of week 6: 263.8
End of week 7: 259.6
So, basically I lost two weeks, cause I'm back to where I was at the end of week 5. There's only TWELVE DAYS left in the challenge, I don't see making my goal of 250. But I'm still hanging in and seeing that number as my objective. :)
I did get some help with my water intake in the last couple days when I went and got some cucumbers (Kirby's), fresh mint, and limes, and I added all that to a container and chilled in the fridge for a few hours. It was amazing. If you like Persian mast o' khiar salads (the minty cucumber yogurt salad you get as an appetizer at Persian restaurants), and I'm wild about the stuff, this tastes like it (sans yogurt). Love it. So refreshing this crazy hot summer.
Anyway, more reviews on the WonderSlim (alternate Medifast sorta) I tried along with my regular foods:
Oatmeal: Ya know, there were sooo many reviews about how much better this was than MediFast oatmeal, so like real oatmeal, five-star reviews, that I'm thinking that MediFast oatmeal must be incredibly awful, cause this was passable. Now, if I had been eating the world's ickiest oatmeal and had this, I'd give it 5 stars, too, I guess. I had the apple n cinnamon. It did have a nice apple and cinnamon taste and the rolled oats were REAL and so the texture was nice (if not overcooked, like my first batch. Use less time than the directions and increase as needed). But like so many of the higher protein, lower calorie diet stuff I've tried over the years, there is this aftertaste, this bitterish undertone. So, side by side with REAL oatmeal, it would get no more than 2 out of five stars (and that for the nutrients/low calorie/appleyness). If you compare it to some other diet protein/soy oatmeals I've tried, yes it fares better. I will say it fixes fast, is easy to eat once you get used to the aftertaste, and is filling for its portion. I like it as a side to eggs to quell my voracious appetite in the am, and as a snack between meals. Worth trying, especially if you are an oatmeal lover who has tried other diet/protein oatmeals and found them wanting.
Cheesesteak Macaroni entree: I cooked this stovetop since other reviewers recommended that. I watched it the whole time to avoid overcooking. It was all right. The final serving is about a cup. The "meat" has a slightly odd texture, but not totally offputting (chewy). The pasta was okay. The cheesiness was adequate. It's not something that made me gag and it's not an entree that made me go "Oh, that as fun." It's merely adequate. Although the cheese-addict in me was satisfied by having the cheesy flavor.
I am not sure at this point if I'd reorder this entree. I'd have to wait and see how it grows--or doesn't--on me and how the other entrees strike me. BUT...it does have a nice filling quality given the quantity. I had it with a side of sauteed spinach, a boiled egg, a small wedge of cheese, and had a creamy pudding for dessert. I was full and got plenty of protein. By itself, I would not be satisfied, but I do think adding veggies as sides--or a salad--or adding some extra low-carb pasta would help oodles. If you LOVE cheesesteak, then definitely try it. There aren't that many entree options, and this seems to be one of the more highly regarded WonderSlim ones. I'd recommend it to those who know it's special high-protein diet food and are willing to base their taste expectations on that basis.
Creamy Pudding/Shake: I almost didnt' try this as a pudding, cause the reviews at the WonderSlim site tend to skew towards this as a shake. But I think the problem is that this is NOT puddingy. This is like a mousse consistency--airier and less creamy than pudding. I like it. I took one star off cause it does have a bit of an aftetaste, but I expect this from high protein diet foods, so no biggie, really. Four to 4.5 stars (based on experiences with other lowcarb dieter foods).
Here's what I did: I prepared it with refrigerator-chilled water (really cold), a bit less than 4 ounces, and let it sit while i ate my soup. Afte 10 minutes or so, this has set quite nicely. I added a tablespoon of Bob's Red Mill Shredded organic coconut (smells good, low carb, about 30 calories, 3 grams of fat, 1.3 carbs per tbsp) and about 6 ChocoPerfection dark chocolate baking chips (sugarfree, lowcarb). Almost negligible calorie-wise, really. Just for appearance and to give a shot of chocolate. I found it to be a really nice high-protein QUICK dessert after soup (or even salad or a veggie joe bowl with veggies). I definitely will reorder this. I got the chocolate cream, which I will get again. And I want to try it with some fresh berries, too.
Really, don't be put off of it as a pudding. So quick, no blender to clean, slower to eat, which is always good for dieters. And you can pump it up with low-carb or fruity goodness. Mixes easily with a spoon. Nice "moussey" texture (and I like mousse). A tad gritty, but not horribly so. Just differently so. If they could find a way to rid it of the aftertaste, this would be pretty perfect diet fare.
I've also been enjoying the utterly wonderful bounty of avocados and donut peaches (my fave, fave among peaches) out there. Been eating berries and LOTS of spinach. The arugula has been a bit sad, which makes ME sad, in turn. Love that best of all salad greens. Watermelon has been faboo, too.
I'm still only exercising 2x a week, and part of that is that I'm just having my endocrine issues, and there's not much I can do about that. I just gotta hold on until my status can be worked out with medication tweaking.
So, that's my check-in. Glad to have "backtracked" to the 250's, glad to be back on the momentum wagon, though, as usual, I suck at challenges, since giving it my all just seems to never work out with these things. I'm such a slacker. ; )
Anyway, I wish you all a happy week with losses! Of the fatty kind. And all sorts of beneficial health and joy and love gains!

I came across this documentary when I read Jillian Michaels Facebook post on something similar to this one. This documentary is called Food Inc. Below is the trailer if you want to know what the docu's all about.
These are the end credits quotes from the documentary of Food Inc.:
You can vote to change this system.
Buy from companies that treat workers, animals and the environment with respect.
When you go to the supermarket, choose foods that are in season.
Buy foods that are organic.
Know what's in your food.
Read labels.
Know that you buy
The average meal travels 1500 miles from the farm to the supermarket.
Buy foods that are grown locally, shop at the farmers market.
Plant a garden(even a small one)
Everyone has a right to healthy food.
In Food Inc. you can witness how disgusting the cattle industry is where the cows live standing in their dung(najis) their whole lives. These dungs are high up to their buku lali(ankle). They are so over crowded and even the sick sometimes aren't being taken care of.
Apart from that the cows are being fed with corn. What's wrong with corn I say? Corn is not supposed to be fed to cows. Their supposed to be fed with grass. Cows semula jadinya are grass eaters. Their food has been changed due to the low cost of corn if you compare to grass which is quite expensive. So when these cows eat corn, they get fat. The other problem that the new diet creates is a sickness that has mutated into another whole new level which is a new type of E.Coli which kills people yearly in the United States.
There are also stories of how chickens being kept in long dark places and never see the light of day from day 1 till they have been slaughtered. These chickens are bred to be fatten soooo fast some of them can't even stand up and move their body! Some can't even stand it and die. It was so horrific! Back then in the USA the Black-Americans used to collect the chickens but now, they hire Mexicans to do it because some of them do not have proper documents. That being said, without proper documents whatever they saw in that long dark chicken coup they have no rights to even say anything at all! So usually they just do their job and shut their mouth.
This movie has opened my eyes about processed food. I don't really buy processed food that much except for occasional RM10 fish fillet per box or cheese sausages. I don't buy burger patties of any kinds because I dislike red meat.
Whatever turmoil that Malaysia has currently, Alhamdulillah I'm blessed that our food is still not as artificial as in the United States. Our cheapest food is still wholesome food like fish, rice, meat, veges... etc and not food that come from fast food restaurants! Yalah... you still can get cheap prices if you eat at some kampung warungs right?
Malaysian kids can still visit the Ayamas farms and our chickens and cattles can see the sunlight. Alhamdulillah. I pray that our small country won't become as greedy and would treat their animals with respect. I think that's what Halal is all about. Syukurlah Islam has rules and regulations about cleanliness and how to deal with binatang ternakan.
Although that most prices are going up, think about the good things that our country has done to us. If not much but the tiniest part will do.

Hello At 4:30 in the Morning! The doctor's visit went well yesterday with my incisions looking clean and my girls looking smaller. Of course there is still swelling mainly at my sides but I am impressed by the fact that there are so few cuts. The healing seems to be going well. I am going to have to remove my own sutures while I am in Paris but I can't imagine that will be difficult. My big

Good Morning. After a long and much needed sleep, I awoke this morning feeling pretty good. Although the doc sent me home with 2 Percocet I found that Tylenol Extra Strength is just fine for me. I don't want to overdo the drugs. Interestingly I discovered that there were only 2 incisions in total, one for each breast and just around the nipple. The implants must have been removed and replaced
Hello All.It has been a long day for me as you might imagine. Today was RE/RE day. In surgical terms that means reduce and replace. So you know I always come clean with you and this is no exception. I wrote yesterday that I was fed up with large implants and wished to change them. That is what I did today - well I didn't do it, my doc did. Here is how it went.Undergoing surgery of course
Wow. I've been absent again. I missed the SUMMER SLIMMIN' check-in. I've been carbing it up at family gatherings (one day chicken and rice with sugar-topped plantains, the other a lo mein and steamed dumplings feast, and a pizza backslide last night).
I have been feeling off. My face feels a bit "masky", and since we changed my regimen a month ago, I think my previous thyroid med status has now sequed to the new one (lower dosage) and it's NOT helping. I have felt like sleeping more, and I've craved carbs (and been indulging, though until yesterday, not bingeing), and my attention is hard to focus. The scale is up. Yeah, something's off. I have an appot to see doc in August, so I gotta do something until then to not lose all traction.
I will say that despite feeling groggier and carb-happy, I only big-time overate twice in the last week plus. And even though I wanted to binge last night, it was a minor binge (and weighted in less than day before). I did NOT eat enough to gain 4 pounds, and the scale showed me up to 263.8. I know the carbs and sodium mix is mostly to blame.
Yesterday, it was pizza. Damn the Dominos 2x Tuesday. I had not been shopping (due to feeling lethargic) and so there was NOTHING in the house to give hubby. So, I fell into the order-crap hole and got the 2 pizzas for one price. I ate 3.5 slices and a salad and stopped. I wanted more. I wanted the whole fricken pizza. But I took the slices, bagged them, froze them. I wasn't gonna throw them out, as hubby can take them for lunch (as he did today, two slices).
I haven't had an all-out, stuff until I hurt binge in a while. In fact, even when I wanted to eat MORE at the family functions, I didn't. I avoided cakes and sugary snacks for the most part. I didn't have more than one mojito (and that has sugar), and ended up having half of it. I took my own beveraged. I ate something before showing up.
Even the late night eating (the other night I overate), I ordered HALF of what I would when I binged.
I like to think the sense of calmness on most days is progress. Even with the regain.
So, I'm not stressing overly.
I am taking a different tack until I can see the doc (it's too coincidental that I feel off when we're trying a new combo, which I researched after and found was LESS strong than the original one, though should be better absorbed.)
I have watched with good cheer and interest, Lyn of Escape From Obesity's progress on MediFast. (She has a coupon code for those wanting to use the plan. See her blog post on the MediFast winners.)
I can't do that--first, saw too many reviews of the horrible taste of the stuff and, second, too much soy. I am not euthyroid, and I don't want to take in THAT much soy every day and then have to worry about rejiggering my medication all the time. Nothing worse than unstable thyroid levels when you're hypothyroid. Sucks bigtime. And makes losing weight virtually impossible for me when I"m out of my limited "happy range."
And I wondered about all the folks who have seen our Lyn do so well and want to try something like Medifast, but without soy or with LESS soy. Who worry about soy or are just sensitive or allergic to it. What are their/my options?
So, I did googling. hahah.
Then, I ordered stuff from Diet Direct. Stuff related to WONDERSLIM (though I'm not doing the plan.) I heard about Wonderslim from two sources within one week: 3FatChicks.com's forum and Impatient Dieter. And I saw that soy sensitive folks have used it as an alternative to MediFast (though MediFast seems to work better, it tastes worse and is more expenseive). Trade-offs for people to research.
I am not doing "the program". I simply feel too draggy and demotivated by that dragginess to want to shop/cook/plan, etc. I want simple stuff here that is high-protein, low-to-medium carb, easy to fix, so I don't have to think about food some days (or several days in a row). So, that's my rationale--just holding on and maybe make some progress until we fix me up medication-wise.
BUT..you can use the Diet Direct WONDERSLIM stuff for your "cheaper and tastier alternative to Medifast" regimen if you choose. Others have done it (check 3FatChicks forum to see). You can read up on both plans and see how to work it. In truth, if you have the patience and bucks, you can order stuff from both and see which flavors you can handle before you choose a plan.
For those following Impatient Dieter--who used a regimen of 7 Wonderslim shakes of 100 calories each and two lean/green meals a day of 250 calories each with full fat dressing to lose an astounding amount of weight FAST--and who were curious to try that regimen, I'll happily post reviews of the drinks and meal equivalents for you.
WonderSlim has some soy items, so you do need to read ingredients and decide how much you think you can handle. The shakes and drinks are not soy-based. They are whey-based. You can read nutritional info on their products here: WONDERSLIM
From what I understand, MediFast has more fiber and probably a higher nutritional profile than WonderSlim. It has fewer carbs in its entress. (WonderSlim offers some pasta dish options). WonderSlim's oatmeal is supposed to taste LIKE OATMEAL, unlike the MF weird one. The shakes are supposed to be tastier and without aftertaste like MF. BUT..the WS stuff uses in many cases aspartame. So, some folks don't do that.
So, I do recommend you compare ingredients and carbs, etc, and also if you do WS, to get a fiber supplement. Not a biggie, really. Everyone should review ingredients in what they eat, anyway.
QUICKIE REVIEW: I had the protein WS Hot Cakes for breakfast with two eggs with cheddar and some Almond Breeze. (All stuff I still had at home and easy to prepare). (I'll revise this post with a pic when I upload and rescale. I'm feeling draggy, remember?)
Lots of protein!
The hot cakes would not be confused with regular pancakes, but I found them pleasant--nicely vanilla-ey and with some sugar-free syrup and cinnamon sprinkled on top, satisfying. (One packet makes 3 very small hot cakes. Cute, too.) Don't overcook. Easy to prepare. Add 1/4 cup water to one packet, stir, let stand for 1 minute (it thickens and becomes frothy), scoop onto pan that's been preheated low-medium heat. I spritzed Pam for the "greasing". I added a tiny dollop of Smart Balance over each pancake (like a pea sized drop) for some healthy fat.
SparkPeople's Nutrition Tracker lists my breakfast as 491 cals, 27g carbs, 35g protein.
It's now 4 hours since I ate--yeah, yeah, I'm not eating every 2 hours, that's up to you if you do the whole plan, which I'm NOT doing--and I"m not remotely hungry, but plan to eat anyway to keep me from GETTING to the point of hunger.
This is not CLEAN EATING. You see that, right? :) It's not "wholesome" eating.
MediFast and WonderSlim are what I call Frankenfood Diets (although others define it differently)--foods that are not what nature makes or near-natural. Processed, reconfigured, "isolated" this, added vitamins, removed THAT, preservatives, all sorts of stuff in there that's hard to pronounce. If you prefer to stay close to nature--as I generally do, but man, I'm zapped right now and justt balk at the idea of toting bags full of produce and proteins home and chopping and cooking... aaaaaarrrgggghhh-- this is not for you.
If you can get tired of flavors easily, this is not for you. Shakes and drinks have limited flavors , there's lots of chocolate , sure. Most of the entrees seem to be similar in spice structure. But your lean meal can be whatever you want that fits the parameters, so make that one happy for your mouth. Lyn has great recipes. See her site for that. Make the most of your REAL FOOD. (I have some frozen asparagus, some fresh Spinach and zucchini, but no meat or poultry at home right now. Dang.)
I plan to add stuff I have in my pantry to use them up, like my nice FiberGourmet high-fiber, lower-carb version of pasta. I like the fiber in that and the texture. I have many soups that I can easily heat up (most are veggie-based). I have frozen Diet-To-Go suppers that can fill in a pinch (though not low-carb, they're vegetarian and lowfat).
I didn't want to ditch the challenge, though exercising is really hard--and I have been tempted to cancel Pilates, but dammit, I refuse to give in THAT much!
If anyone has tried a MediFast alternative (for folks who can't afford/don't like taste of/can't do all soy), please post a link to any post you've done so others can see the resources you have. I don't mean SPAM or PR. I mean YOU use it and it works well for you.
If you've used WonderSlim, do you blog about it? Please comment and link.
If you've done Medifast and found a way to construct your own using more accessible ingredients from your supermarket/health food store--post and link.
So, right now, I was up 4 lbs from last weigh-in, then today down a bit, but still up 3 lbs. Let's see what next weigh-in brings.
On the plus side my natural hair journey has yielded nice results. Here is hair on Saturday on way to one of those carby family gatherings:
Happy week to you all.

Hi Everyone.I just had a fantastic open water swim with my coworker and friend, Wendy. We swam about 1400 meters in a beautiful Caledon Lake. Her parents paddled in the paddleboat beside us for safety. I sure felt better having them there! Wendy and I kept a good pace and really enjoyed the conditions - sunshine, warm lake water and a beautiful environment. You can't beat these Canadian

DAY 4: PULAU PERHENTIAN + KUALA BESUT +PENANG
Hari terakhir. Sepatutnya balik naik bot kul 8 pagik. Tapi kami balik kul 12 tengahari sebab... erkk... xsure sangat reasonnya, ahehehe, maybe letih, pastu baju kelmarin pun tak kering lagik plus yg paling penting, nak tunggu makan lunch kat sinik sebab makanan dia sedap giler akekeke...
Spaghetti aku kelmarin sedap sampai Awie nak oda lagik sekali untuk lunch nanti, CT nak makan tomyam campur yg Awie makan kelmarin, aku pulak, erkk... tak kisah apa2 pun, asalkan sedap :P. hariknik aku oda bihun sup, mmg sedap. Rupanya Coral View pernah di lawati Jalan2 Cari Makan TV3 [glemer seketika], no wonder masakan dia mmg betol2 sedap, tak rugi pilih Coral View nih ahehehe.
Lepas makan, terus bot sampai, dan kami singgah jap kat jeti beli2 barang bila dah sampai kat Kuala Besut. Masa CT amik kete, kami siap dok tepi jalan makan durian akekeke, bukak kat situ, makan di situ jugak... :P
Kat sinik jumpa Kak Yah, mesra alam betol, sampai rajin bawak kami masuk kampung sebab kami ter-tanya kat mana ada orang jual kopok lekor yg sedap. Sekali Kak Yah tuh offer soh ikut dia masuk kampung dan bawak kami terus g 1 tempat yg buat kopok lekor kat situ. Sekali siap test makan lagik :P. Lepas Awie dan CT beli kopok lekor, kami dah siap2 nak balik ke Penang.
Dalam kete, memula plan nak g Teluk Intan nak tengok Isma and new baby born, sekali tengok2 peta balik, kena tembus Kuala Kangsar balik, pastu naik atas ke Bidor, masuk g teluk Intan, jaoh tuh wehhh :-s. Last2 tak jadik :p. Lagipun Isma nak balik Bertam minggu depan, xperlah, kita pakat2 tengok di Penang jerlah yer ahehehe. So perjalanan di teruskan balik ke Penang.
Singgah kat area mana ntah [atas sikit dari Baling kot] jamak Isyak+Maghrib, then sampai Penang dalam kul 10 malam [ker 11?]. Dinner char kuew teow, sampai umah CT, pakat2 tido pengsan 3-3 orang kami +_+. Aku mmg xlarat nak balik Bukit Gedong [sebelom tuh gigih konon rasa larat nak balik, tapi kudrat tak larat mana mana, last2 bawak badan masuk umah CT, tido sampai pagik akekeke :P].
Sekianlah laporan percutian kali ini, berjumpa lagik di percutian yg akan datang [kononnnn...] mcm lah nak g mana2 lagik lepas nih akekeke...

DAY 3: PULAU PERHENTIAN
Pagik2 checkout kuo dari Pantai Batu Burok Beach Resort heading back to Kuala Besut. Niat di hati nak catch up dengan bot kul 7.30am tapi sebab lewat bangun [plus aku dengan Awie qhalit tengok tv lagik akekeke], so kami sampai lewat kat Kuala Besut :-s. Sepanjang perjalanan, CT driff dengan gigihnyer, siap hujan lagik, last2 mmg kira2 balik, kompom tak sempat. Kesian budak kecik nih, dari laju terus dia slow dengan keciwanya, padahal dia yg paling awal siap kat Pantai Batu Burok pagik2 tuh ahehehe, sori yer cik CT. Lain kali kami tak tengok tv lagik :P.
Sampai2 kat Kuala Besut, sempat lah breakfast roti canai telur kat situ, nikmatnyer dapat makan makanan asasi balik akekeke... Lepas makan, siap memerut dulu, sampai CT datang panggey aku balik dekat kul 9am tuh cakap bot dah sampai. Chaih! Sungguh memalukan memerut lama2... sembelitkah haku? kena makan psyllium husk nih akekeke :P. Atas bot, aku diam jer, masa nih tak sedar diri yg aku takut air wahahaha :)). Muka mandom giler, sampai2 jer Pulau Perhentian, check in, simpan barang, turun lah kami ke pantai. Sahih aku tak sentuh pantai sampai kena paksa dengan Awie dan CT :-s.
Gerun betol aku, sampai aku pegang kuat lah baju Awie, nasib baik tak koyak baju hamba ALLAH tuh wahahaha :)). CT siap panjat batu kat tengah2 tuh lagik sambil tarik aku ke tepi, tapi tangan aku tak lepas dari pegang baju Awie. Sangat2 teruk pengalaman pertama jejak kaki ke air, chaih! [mcm lah tak pernah masuk dalam air aku ni, aduhaiii].
Sebelom tuh siap kasik makan ikan dengan roti gardenia lagik, melantun2 ikan datang wahahah... masa tuh dekat ajer dengan gigi pantai. Bila kena ke tengah baru tahu langit tinggi rendah, aduhaiii +_+.
Sessi tenghari sampai ke petang, pusing2 pulau, siap jungle tracking lagik sebab nak ke bahagian pulau sebelah sana, ader lah jugak exercise akekeke :P. patah balik, lapo, makan2 jap, masa nih mmg aku mati2 tak mo snorkeling. padahal aku lah dok jaja snorkeling dekat Awie dengan CT dari start trip, dalam kete, sampai lah ke sinik. Dah sampai Pulau Perhentian, boleh aku xmo snorkeling :-s. Awie asyik dok ulang, face your fear, face your fear...
Last2, dekat kul 3 petang, akhirnya aku bersetuju jugak ikut trip snorkeling tuh, dalam hati Tuhan saja yg tahu.
Check point 1: Coral point.
Masa turun kat 1st check point tuh, semua orang dah turun, Awie pun turun, CT pun turun, aku pun turun, tapi aku dok pegang badan bot sampai ke sudah wahahaha :)). Tunggu abang bawak bot tuh datang bawak aku ke tengah. kalo tidak, mmg sampai petang la aku melekat bawah bot :P. CT pun takut2 gak, Awie sorang berani sampai ke tengah adedehhh... +_+.
Abang bot tuh siap kasik arahan: When I said u jump, u jump!!! Wahahahah!!! Lawak betol. Sinik, kami 3-3 orang tak terjun sebab dia benti tengah2 laut, bukan tepi pantai. Kami 3 orang jer pakai live jacket, yg lain omputeh expert level dah, mmg jenis terjun tiruk, beshnyer kalo pandai berenang.
Check point ke 4: Turtle point jugak tapi sisir pantai nyer.
Kat sinik paling lama, semua turun, barulah aku berani turun. CT pun turun... Awie... lagik lah berani turun ahehehe. Ader sekali tuh mana sesat ntah anak shark datang area nih, terkujat haku. Siap angkat kaki aku yg terkeluar kuku tuh, menakutkan betol. Abang bot tuh cakap, tak per, shark tuh tak kacau orang. Tapi aku tetap takut sampai mati +_+.
Balik2 dari snorkeling, mandi2, solat, CT dan Awie pulak pengsan. terbalik la pulak. kelmarin kat TTI, aku yg pengsan teruk. Harinik derang berdua pulak pengsan teruk. Akekeke... dalam kul 8-9 tuh, aku dah tak tahu nak buat apa dah dalam bilik, sejok giler siot! Gigil macam dok dalam peti ice. Aircond centralized pulak tuh :-s. Last2 aku dok kat luo. Tapi tak tahan nyamok pulak. lepas kul 9 malam, aku gigihkan diri masuk bilik dan paksa pejam mata, tido2,esok nak bangun awal.
Aku tak sure aku terlelap kul berapa, tapi terjaga berapa kali ntah, tak tahan sejuk punya pasal, tapi akhirnya tido jugak sampai ke pagik. Kul 4.30 pagik something terjaga lagik, msg Dieha masuk, anak buah ke 3 dah keluar ahehehe.

DAY 3: PULAU PERHENTIAN
Pagik2 checkout kuo dari Pantai Batu Burok Beach Resort heading back to Kuala Besut. Niat di hati nak catch up dengan bot kul 7.30am tapi sebab lewat bangun [plus aku dengan Awie qhalit tengok tv lagik akekeke], so kami sampai lewat kat Kuala Besut :-s. Sepanjang perjalanan, CT driff dengan gigihnyer, siap hujan lagik, last2 mmg kira2 balik, kompom tak sempat. Kesian budak kecik nih, dari laju terus dia slow dengan keciwanya, padahal dia yg paling awal siap kat Pantai Batu Burok pagik2 tuh ahehehe, sori yer cik CT. Lain kali kami tak tengok tv lagik :P.
Sampai2 kat Kuala Besut, sempat lah breakfast roti canai telur kat situ, nikmatnyer dapat makan makanan asasi balik akekeke... Lepas makan, siap memerut dulu, sampai CT datang panggey aku balik dekat kul 9am tuh cakap bot dah sampai. Chaih! Sungguh memalukan memerut lama2... sembelitkah haku? kena makan psyllium husk nih akekeke :P. Atas bot, aku diam jer, masa nih tak sedar diri yg aku takut air wahahaha :)). Muka mandom giler, sampai2 jer Pulau Perhentian, check in, simpan barang, turun lah kami ke pantai. Sahih aku tak sentuh pantai sampai kena paksa dengan Awie dan CT :-s.
Gerun betol aku, sampai aku pegang kuat lah baju Awie, nasib baik tak koyak baju hamba ALLAH tuh wahahaha :)). CT siap panjat batu kat tengah2 tuh lagik sambil tarik aku ke tepi, tapi tangan aku tak lepas dari pegang baju Awie. Sangat2 teruk pengalaman pertama jejak kaki ke air, chaih! [mcm lah tak pernah masuk dalam air aku ni, aduhaiii].
Sebelom tuh siap kasik makan ikan dengan roti gardenia lagik, melantun2 ikan datang wahahah... masa tuh dekat ajer dengan gigi pantai. Bila kena ke tengah baru tahu langit tinggi rendah, aduhaiii +_+.
Sessi tenghari sampai ke petang, pusing2 pulau, siap jungle tracking lagik sebab nak ke bahagian pulau sebelah sana, ader lah jugak exercise akekeke :P. patah balik, lapo, makan2 jap, masa nih mmg aku mati2 tak mo snorkeling. padahal aku lah dok jaja snorkeling dekat Awie dengan CT dari start trip, dalam kete, sampai lah ke sinik. Dah sampai Pulau Perhentian, boleh aku xmo snorkeling :-s. Awie asyik dok ulang, face your fear, face your fear...
Last2, dekat kul 3 petang, akhirnya aku bersetuju jugak ikut trip snorkeling tuh, dalam hati Tuhan saja yg tahu.
Check point 1: Coral point.
