My last target was to lose as much weight as possible before the Kelantan trip. But that was like end of February 09! I have been feeling less motivated afterwards cause I had no realistic goal to achieve.
Since 11th April is coming soon(end of my 3rd month consuming Herbalife), I've decided that I must weigh 68kgs by that date. Currently, my weight's just about 70kg-72kg due to taking 1 shakes per day or none at all lol. Cobaan...
I'm trying so hard this week to take 2 shakes perday and no snacking on unhealthy foods. I don't want to be in 70kg zone for the rest of my life. I keep telling myself one day I can fit into all those clothes in Seeds. Geram 1 pun tidak muat oh...
My menu for today.
Breakfast:
2F1(1 scoop dutch chocolate, 1 scoop cappucino)
100ml water
100ml cappucino soy
gulped another 250ml water after that
Lunch:
Roasted Chicken Rice
1 glass of Sirap Bandung
1 Magnum Ice Cream
Water water water!!!
Dinner:
2F1(1 scoop Cappu, 1 scoop Choc)
100ml water & 100ml Cappu Soy
Lots and lots of water!!
So far so good! 2 shakes today, Alhamdulillah.
Hi Bloggers,Back from NYC and into the thick of it! I had a crazy busy day from the office to the set of a photo shoot with Melanie Evans (our Eat-Clean Diet Body Makeover Challenge winner), then to dinner with Melanie, and then off to an event at Premier Fitness for my husband's friend. I thought you might enjoy some moments from my time in NYC with my kids and hubby. These were taken when I had
Thanks for the warm reception back to the forum. I have missed blogging, too.I have been in New York since Wednesday in and out of meetings, and enjoying the city here and there. I will have lots to tell you once I get home and have a few minutes of peace. In the meantime, here are a few more pics from my trek to Aruba with the family.More later!
Well, it has been way too long since I have posted. I'm still in NYC, but I had a second to post some pics from my vaca. I'll post a few today and some more tomorrow. It was a much needed break with my mom, Tina, my husband, Robert, 2 of my kids (Chelsea and Kelsey) and 2 other their friends. Enjoy the picture show.I will be getting to some Q & As relatively soon, but I have MEGA catching up to

The recommended daily amount of calcium for people under 50 is 1,000 milligrams per day. For older people over 50, it's 1,200 milligrams per day.
Most of us know that dairy products are high in calcium. But there are some vegetables which are even better per calorie and other nutrients they provide.
Some very calcium rich foods include;
- Spinach - 245 mg calcium per cup
- Collard greens - 226 mg per cup
- Yoghurt - 447 mg per cup
- Goats milk - 325 mg per cup
- Cows milk - 296 mg per cup
- Sesame seeds - 351 mg per one quarter cup
- Tofu - 100 mg per four ounces
See more info about the benefits of calcium and the best calcium rich foods here.
I read through the old Herbalife thread in Cari Forum and found one particular interesting picture to which Cik Emi had posted in that thread which was a menu guide for Hebalife users during the fasting month of Ramadhan.
Although I don't know her but she gives out very resourceful info in the forum. Thank you very much!!!
Mostly this week I only manage to take 1 shake per day. I am not feeling very well and my 'tekak' doesn't quite like the soya flavored drinks. Sabar jak la. InsyaAllah, I'm going to take it slow and be on track again!
9kgs gone.
25kgs to go.
Tomorrow I'm going to find 2 pairs of new pants. Different colors. My old pants are so loose it has become so irritating. Silap - silap terjatuh seluar aku depan orang ramai. But alas, the March Sale has ended!!! Those pants didn't give me any problems last week. Only this week, so no more using safety pins for both of my pants hahaha.

The bus stop weight scale is part of an ad campaign by a fitness gym called Fitness First. They want to shame people into joining their gym. This takes the cake. What nifty advertising ideas will we see next?

I went shopping in Pasaraya TTDI yesterday and the akak selling Taufu Fah in front of the shop tegur. She said I Was getting slimmer. "Tak makan ke dik? Apa adik buat? Exercise?" I told her,"Makan Herbalife kak."
Then she told me that she heard of it."Oh yg minum dgn air soya tu ek." "Ah ah," I said. She also told me that her sister also was selling it but never saw a real living being with great results. She thought it wouldn't work and now that she saw I LOST INCHES then she told me that she would really like to try it! I'm glad for her.
So far within 2 months, I've convinced 4 people to try Herbalife. Sengaja or tidak sengaja. ^_^
Anyways, there's a price hike rumour going on Cari forum. I want to believe that it's not going to happen. No matter what happens I'll still consume Herbalife. In fact I'm going to order more F1 bottles at the end of this month yooyay!!!

Hi All! What a kafuffle (how do you spell that?) over a dress! It was actually longer than anything anyone else was wearing and I spent a lot of time thinking what I would wear to that dinner. The dress is Dolce and Gabanna and I realize the bra is showing but that is part of the dress! It is sewn into the top and it SUPPOSED to show. Now the fact that the dress was slipping down was a

I think after going back from Kelantan I totally blew off my diet. Since then I haven't taken any measurements or weighed myself. So after 1 week and a half I've decided to come out of hidin and out of feeling miserable and yet still guilty.
I'll start over again and it's never too late. Within a day or two I promise myself to buy a new digital scaling machine. By end of the week, I'll measure myself again and am slowly going back on track.
I don't know why am I so upset with myself for not taking Herbalife for 2 whole days(when I was in Kelantan) and my it dragged all the way until yesterday.
Might I add that I am a very good girl for 2 days, obeying my diet rules :)

Ugh... I can't control myself within these two days. I had a really huge appetite. Tengok2 today I got my period. No wonder. My stomach is bloated too. I haven't weighed and measured myself since I got back from Kelantan. Probably next week!
I've received my Herbalife products yesterday Alhamdulillah. The dude came to my house and commented that he really liked the trees around our compound. "Best ah udara kat sini. Sejuk je. Tu la orang pun sihat." So inside my heart I was saying,"Dia ni ckp aku sehat ka or memang betul dia maksudkan badan sehat." I think he's the first person who didn't even get lost finding our house. Yes, it's one of a kind cause no one lives near us hehehe.

I have been reading the Herbalife threads for two months(200 pages mind you for motivational purposes) and now setting up Cari Account is so hard! Pening!!!! I'm sitting in front of the monitor for 1 hour trying to figure out reading access, how to get myself to able to reply, UID, credits... Pengsan la aku ni.
So far I think this is the most complicated forum setup I've ever gone through. I hope I can solve it!!!
Edit: I did it! I'm in Herbalife Part 3.

We are ONE WEEK into the Cooler 1 Challenge. I am feeling nice and cleansed for the Arnold. We leave tomorrow!! I have lots of packing to do tonight. Here is a link to a great article I found in the New York Times yesterday. It's all about how exercise doesn't do it all. It basically proves that diet is 80% of the battle, while exercise is a mere 10%. It's important, of course, don't get me wrong

Meg asked in a comment on a previous post:
I've always wanted to try Pilates, but I'm super self conscious about trying new classes at the gym. How is it?First off, from scanning your blog, it looks to me like you are at normal weight and pretty fit (ie, you run and exercise, etc). So, you have nothing to feel self-conscious about...AT ALL!!! Go try a class. Make sure it's taught by a certified Pilates teacher (not just someone who's done it and decided to up and teach it). Form, focus, and breathing matter in Pilates, so you want someone who knows how to do it right and teach it properly, who will correct your form during the length of the class.
Now, back to the self-conscious thing: Girl, I started Pilates weighing 272 pounds and having been a couch potato for years and years. I didn't even know if I COULD do it, much less worry about how dumbass I'd look trying to do it. :)
I've since REGAINED some weight I lost. Last week, I was doing Pilates at 282. I did it yesterday at 278.8. And on the reformer next to me was a model with impossibly long and slender limbs and apparently a 0.5% body fat.
I know about self-conscious.
Add to that that I'm the only obese person doing Pilates at the place where I train. I'm certainly the only MORBIDLY obese person there.
Still, I've been doing it for nearly nine months and I feel more flexible, stronger, my arms and legs have better shape, I can do my activities with more ease (ie, groceries, crouching, reaching), and for a very fat 49 year old woman who was nearly an invalid in the 20th century, I am happy to report this. And even having regained some weight, I look slimmer than when I started. I feel denser, firmer. And my acanthosis got better, so that may be just the exercising after NOT exercising for so long. I was used to being ill with severe respiratory infections two to five times a year. Since I started working out, I got sick ONCE.
Honestly, if I can do it, just about anyone can. And I do qualify with "just about", because I do understand that being significantly larger than I am, 350 or 400 or 500 pounds, has a huge impact on what you can do. I chose this form of exercise particularly because of damage I have to my joints from being fat. It isn't easy on the ankles and knees and hips. Pilates is very joint-friendly.

I think all of us with fat issues, body image issues find it hard wearing tight workout clothing (snug clothing being essential for Pilates). I know for me, it was really hard. And it was hard walking into the studio with wall-to-wall mirrors and models and skinny dancers feeling like Shamu with arthritis. But a good teacher and an environment that is accepting and wants to foster health makes up for a lot of self-consciousness.
The fact that I"ve stuck to it, 3x a week, hour sessions, for nearly 9 months says something. I've never stuck to exercise this long. NEVER. And I've swallowed my discomfort with being seen in tight clothes moving about to the point where yesterday, in order to march in place with higher knees, I HELD MY BELLY UP WITH MY HANDS out of the way of my knees. I looked demented. But it helped me move with better form. So, ah, yeah. I can't believe I did that. Hah!
Someone in your much better shape and much slimmer form will do marvelously. You'll see a lovely line emerge in your arms and legs. Your tummy and waist will reform. You'll feel longer and sleeker. You will be happy with the results.
I told my hubby this weekend, "Man, if I weren't covered in all this fat, you could see my rocking ab muscles!"
And you should NOT feel self-conscious. You doubtless look very, very good already. :)
And again, for the fat gals out there who've been afraid, just do it. Save the money, get a couple to three personal sessions first to ground you in the breathing, posture, scooping techniques and to use each of the machines and equipment pieces at least once with your trainer. Then, ask what class they think you should take. It's an investment that is worth it.
I arrived home safely from Portland late last night and was greeted by the bitter Canadian cold. My hubby was up at 6:30... and so was I. Adjusting to a time change is always a little rough. I'll be taking extra special care of myself today by loading up on veggies and soothing teas.I am visiting Franca today to get all prepped for the Arnold. We leave Thursday!! We're taking a bus to Columbus,
I have just bid farewell to my lovely daughter Rachel. I am sad to leave after such a wonderful weekend here in Oregon. This morning I had a TV appearance with AM Northwest. I hope some of you were able to catch it. If not, click here for the link. Oh, good. A scosh better today: 278.6
I much prefer that to the 280's.
Went to Whole Foods last night and got me a lot of greens, some fruit, some meats (pork loin was well-priced and on sale), some ready-to-eat (meatballs, cheese lasagna to split with hubby), some lima bean soup (which I looooove), and Tofu Masala (for my supper tonight). I also have some leftover M'Jadra (lentils and rice with onions and yogurt). So, I have a good amount of food for a few days.
Lovely cold front came in, so it's sweater weather in Miami. I love that. Hope we get lots of cool days before the heat officially sets in.
So much to do in the house, really, that I feel overwhelmed. But I have to just sit down, make a plan, and take it one small step at a time, or I'll get into an ugly state of frustration..which makes me wanna gorge.
Don't wanna gorge.
Pilates in a couple hours, so off I go to start picking out clothes, showering, etc.
I wish you all a healthful Monday and a great work week.

Last week I told myself to go on a detox diet for 3 days but ended up doing it for 1 day only. Cannot tahan! Then we went to Kelantan on Friday-Sunday(27 Feb-1 March) so on Friday only 1 shake, Sat and Sun I was totally off of Herbalife!
I was indulging food in Kelantan as it was my first time there. I find most of the food there was pretty sweet. Even the karipap was sweet. I bought 3 bottles of mineral water. 1L each and 1L for 1 day ok! Not enough. I could only see myself buying loads of water while other people in the tour bus was buying batik, hijabs and clothes hahaha.
I was really glad that I finally reached KL last night and the first thing I did when I reached home was to drink WATER! I am so used to drink water these days. All the oily food I ate made me quite pening yesterday.
Today I am detoxing once again. I don't know until when... By the way I did brought my Herbalife F1, F3 and Teamix and shaker and measuring spoon to Kelantan but left it untouched inside my luggage :P
Now that the trip's over, I am now in control of my diet. I've just ordered a few Herbalife supplements and it will be coming this week. This time it's in Vanilla and Cappu. I've been on Chocolate for almost 4 weeks now. Need some change for a while.
Testimonial.
One more thing... my son(2 years old) is such a picky eater, sometimes doesn't even want to eat at all but he just loves the shakes that I drink. I have given him Herbalife shakes once in a while. Alhamdulillah, at least he has another source to eat from although it's actually drinking. See how delicious Herbalife shakes are? Even my son the picky eater likes it!
